We request that you keep all communications for the school year as you receive them from our office. You will be receiving information about your participation in our annual recital on June 16th 2018.
Please note that the waiting rooms are made available for the convenience of our students and their families. The waiting rooms are for waiting, reading, snacking, conversation, video viewing, homework, and children playing with toys or games brought from home. We ask that you please respect the activities of others and the classes in session. Please bring only water or tightly covered drinks and dry Non-Peanut snacks! If you use our books and magazines, we would appreciate it if you would return them when finished. Your courtesy will be greatly appreciated.
We request that you arrive at the studio with adequate time to prepare for class, parking, changing, restroom, etc. Parents, for your children’s safety, please be available in the waiting room to receive students when dismissed from class. Please call whenever delayed for class start time or pickup.
We welcome your comments and suggestions. If any parent/student wishes a private conference concerning your individual dance goals or financial concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. There is a non refundable $35 per student/$50 per family registration fee due at time of registration for all new students. Returning Students pay $25 per student/$40 per family for registration. IMPORTANT: Tuition is based on a monthly rate and not on the number of classes in a month as this will vary from month to month. Students usually received an avg. of 40-42 classes per season. Classes are weekly but tuition is figured monthly. This registration fee is applicable for Fall, Winter, and Spring classes. The dance season begins August 2017 and runs through June 2018. Monthly installments are due on the first day of each month for 11 months. Adjustments are not made for missed classes or holidays. Classes missed due to illness, school activities or family emergencies may be made up in a similar class within one month of the date the missed class occurred. No tuition adjustment is ever made for missed classes. Annual tuition may be paid as a lump sum amount. A 5% discount will be deducted from the full tuition amount based on the number of hours of class instruction per child, per week. Lump sum tuition is non-refundable. Payments are due on the first of each calendar month. There is no late fee assessed until after 7th of the month. Any account unpaid after the 7th of the month will have a late charge of $20.00. A late fee of $40.00 is charged on the 1st day of the month if payment for the prior month has not been received and the student will not be allowed in class until the balance is paid in full. We will add a 40% collections fee on your total unpaid balance if you fail to pay your bill and EDF has to turn it over to collections. Your account must be paid and current in order to receive your recital costumes and to participate in the recital. Payments may be made at the office or by mail. No credit is given for student absences, missed snow cancellation makeup classes. Thank you for your cooperation Students who register after March may not be able to participate in recital. We order costumes in January and they may not arrive in time for recital if ordered after then. A mandatory dress rehearsal will be held on the Friday prior to the recital. Costumes are not custom made for each child. We will provide a seamstress to make any necessary alterations. Recital package payments are non- refundable. Recital Packages must be chosen at the time of sign up. All costume payments must be made with a separate check or can be paid with a credit card with a convenience fee of 3.75% added to the total. All accounts must be current in order to receive recital costumes at the end of the year. Parents must complete a signed registration form and consent waiver before beginning classes. Please update the front office with current information if changes occur. Regular attendance is required for each class. In order for students to gain strength and maintain consistent class levels, students must have consistent attendance. Make up classes are available and encouraged for missed classes. Elite Dance Force reserves the right to move a student at any time to a lower level due to lack of attendance and inability to maintain the class level. Class Cancellations: The studio reserves the right to combine or cancel classes in the event of low attendance or if the class has less than 5 students. The studio reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather or other emergencies. You will be notified via e- mail if a class is canceled. All Classes are first come first serve and fill quickly so if a class is full that you want I will open another class only if you have 5 other children to join in with you. Please arrive 5 minutes early and prepared for class. Students must have proper class uniform, designated leotard, tights, and appropriate shoes for each class. Hair must be tied back securely and no jewelry is allowed whatsoever, including watches. This is for the safety of each student. Please put your child's name on all shoes, dance bag, costumes, etc. following dress code is very important and is strictly enforced at EDF. Students must be on time to class and are discouraged from leaving class early. A 15 minute grace period will be accepted for latecomers. However, due to safety (lack of a proper warm-up) and class disturbance, no one may join a class in progress after that time. If students are excessively tardy, parents will be contacted. Parents must pick up students promptly after class. Elite Dance Force is not responsible for child care after class is concluded. Please call and notify the office if there is an emergency causing a delay in the pickup of your child. A fee will be added to your account for late pickup if you are 5 or more minutes past pick up time. In case of emergency Elite Dance Force would be willing to help anyway possible to ensure the safety of the child. Parents are welcome to observe classes once a month. Specific dates are listed on our calendar page. This ensures parents to see growth in their dancer. Please let the office know if you have out of town family and we will be happy to let them view for that week. Students may not enter classroom without an instructor present and need to wait to be called in for their class. There is absolutely no running in the lobby or in the classrooms. We encourage parents of young students to be present in the lobby during class time. Siblings must be supervised by parents at all times. NO FOOD OR GUM CHEWING is permitted in the classrooms. Students may bring a labeled water bottle with a lid inside the classroom (water bottles must be removed at the end of class). All food must be consumed in our EDF lounge. Please clean up your area and dispose of all trash. NO CELL PHONES will be permitted in the classrooms. If you need to get in contact with your child please call the front office. Please label all personal items and keep them in your dance bag. Elite Dance Force will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. We have a lost in found but it is cleaned out once a month. Please check for pertinent studio information and updates posted on the studio bulletin board, website or email. Elite Dance Force extends fair and equitable treatment to all our customers. Elite Dance Force reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
